About Us
The American Association for Farm Succession Planning is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2024, to work with farmers and ranchers to assist and educate them with estate and transition planning. Serving families throughout the United States in all 50 states and its contiguous territories, aafsp.org provides direct services as well as collaborates with other agricultural organizations and institutions to deliver informative, accurate and timely information to help farmers and ranchers with their estate and transition goals.
According to National Land Realty, an estimated $24 trillion in farmland and agricultural assets will change hands in the next two decades. Meanwhile, according to the USDA, over 14,000 farms and 2,100,00 acres of farmland have been lost since 2023 alone. A mission of aafsp.org is to assist farmers and ranchers with farm succession planning so that future generations can continue the legacy of producing food for Americans and to ensure food security for the United States.
